Die Dinge haben sich gut für Izumi Tachibana entwickelt. Nachdem sie die neue Regisseurin des MANKAI-Ensembles geworden war, konnte sie zwei der ehemals berühmten Truppen wieder etablieren – sowohl die Frühling-Truppe als auch die Sommer-Truppe haben mit ihren Werken »Romeo and Julius« bzw. »Water Me!« durchaus achtbare Erfolge eingefahren. Doch noch immer müssen einige der Bedingungen, die ihr der Schuldeneintreiber Sakyou Furuichi damals stellte, erfüllt werden: Neben der Begleichung aller Schulden muss Izumi auch noch zwei weitere Truppen zum Erfolg führen.
Nun soll als Nächstes die Herbst-Truppe gebildet werden. Beim Vorsprechen staunen die Schauspieler nicht schlecht, als ausgerechnet Sakyou auftaucht, um mitzumachen – wobei das eigentlich kein Wunder ist, denn Sakyou ist von Izumis Fortschritt durchaus beeindruckt und war bereits als Kind mal Teil der Schauspieler-Truppe. Das Vorsprechen ergibt genügend neue Mitglieder, aber so richtig gut verstehen sich diese noch nicht. Vor allem Banri Settsu und Juuza Hyoudou streiten sich in einer Tour, weil sie auf eine konfliktreiche Vergangenheit zurückblicken. Izumi und ihre Kollegen haben einiges an Arbeit vor sich, bevor sie überhaupt darüber nachdenken können, den letzten Schritt – das Bilden der Winter-Truppe – anzugehen.
