Nachdem die Teufelsgeschwister Gyuutarou und Daki von den Dämonenjägern Tanjirou, Inosuke, Zenitsu sowie der »Klangsäule« Tengen im Vergnügungsviertel besiegt wurden, beruft der Dämonenkönig Muzan Kibutsuji die »Zunehmenden Teufelsmonde« zu einem Treffen im Schloss der Unendlichkeit ein, um sie über dem Verlust seiner Verbündeten zu informieren. Dabei gibt Muzan den »Zunehmenden Teufelsmonden« Nummer 5, Gyokko, und Nummer 4, Hantengu, einen besonderen Auftrag.Für Tanjirou geht es nach seinem Koma in das Dorf der Schwertschmiede, wo Tanjirou dem Schmied Hotaru Haganezuka, der sein Schwert gefertigt hat, die Gründe für die schwere Beschädigung seiner Waffe erklären muss. Ebenfalls trifft er dort auf die »Liebessäule« Mitsuri Kanroji, die ihm verrät, dass es das Gerücht einer geheimen Waffe in Nähe des Dorfes gibt, die einen stärker machen soll. Auf der Suche nach dieser Waffe begegnet er plötzlich der »Nebelsäule« Muichirou Tokitou zusammen mit einer bekannten Person. Was wird Tanjirou nur erwarten?
