Kurzbeschreibung

Ren Mihashi spielte als Pitcher im Baseballteam seiner Schule. Böse Zungen behaupten aber, er habe den Platz im Team nur bekommen, weil sein Großvater der Direktor der Lehranstalt war.
Ren selbst glaubt das auch und so kommt er völlig ohne Selbstbewusstsein zum ersten Treffen des Baseballclubs der Highschool, die er aber jetzt im japanischen Saitama besuchen wird. So macht er sich keine Hoffnungen, hier als Pitcher angenommen zu werden. Doch er ist der einzige Anwesende, der diese Position bereits gespielt hat und die Managerin des Teams glaubt genauso an ihn, wie es der Catcher der Mannschaft tut.
