Auch die Träume der beiden Jungs haben sich verändert: Kojirou, der Nachkommen einer berühmten Bushi-Linie, blickt verbittert in die Zukunft, und Musashi überlegt ernsthaft, eine Karriere als Bergmann anzustreben, wie die Gesellschaft es von ihm erwartet. Aber so ganz können die beiden Freunde ihren Schwur nicht vergessen … und als sich die Gelegenheit dazu ergibt, machen sie sich – trotz aller Zweifel – auf den Weg, um ihr Land von den Oni zu befreien.
