Kurzbeschreibung:
2036. Drei Schülerinnen streifen durch die Außenbezirke von Tokio. An sich nichts Besonderes, doch sind sie weit und breit die einzigen Menschen, denn der einstige Stolz des Landes hat sich in eine Geisterstadt verwandelt. 20 Jahre zuvor verstrahlte eine Kernschmelze den gesamten Großraum Tokio, wobei der Großteil der Bevölkerung entweder direkt durch die Strahlung oder durch deren Spätfolgen umkam. Die Mädchen gehören zu den Wenigen, die sich in diesem verstrahlten Gebiet frei bewegen können, denn sie sind Teil einer militärischen Sondereinheit und wurden mittels genetischer Manipulation resistent gegen die Radioaktivität gemacht, wurden also eigens für diese Mission erschaffen. Ihre Aufgabe ist es nun den letzten verbliebenen Notsignalen aus der Stadt nachzugehen und das seit zwei Jahrzehnten nicht mehr betretene Gebiet zu erforschen.
