Makoto Kubota nahm im Leben die Dinge nicht all zu ernst oder versuchte seinen Weg zu finden. Als Leiter der Jugendbande der Izumo-Gruppe war er mit Yakuza-Kriege, Mahjong und Attentaten beschäftigt… Bis zu dem Tag, als er auf eine seltsame Droge namens Wild Adapter stieß, die bizarre Nebenwirkungen bis hin zum Tod mit sich zieht. Nicht nur die Droge, sondern auch die ungleiche Kameradschaft mit dem Herumstreicher Minoru Tokito, verändert Kubotas Leben drastisch. Die Beiden zieht es immer tiefer in das Geheimnis der Wild Adapter hinein…
